Domestic Abuse Survivor Tips – The 3 Keys To Thriving After Domestic Abuse

Domestic Abuse Survivor Tips – The 3 Keys To Thriving After Domestic Abuse

We all have our moments when we slide into that beaten down spot and find ourselves wallowing in thoughts that keep us there. It’s as if one picks up where one’s former batterer left off.

When that happens, nip it in the bud. In the same way that you may quash a cold coming at its early onset (at the very first sign of it coming on), you arrest its progression.

How to Nip It in the Bud

1) Be in and come from pure positive energy
Come to know the experience of time stopping and inner elevated calm emerging from within. Let this be the wallpaper mood of your day. Acknowledge it when it’s there and inspire it when it’s not.

2) Choose to be centered over being right
Sometimes our struggles evolve from circumstances beyond our control. And when we struggle against it, we only enhance our struggle. Whereas, if we choose to be centered rather than being right, we move out and away from the struggle. And from here, no battle ensues.

3) Do what you love and the money will follow
When you do what you love, you become centered and the pure positive energy abounds. And the more you do it, the more and more it keeps creeping in, showing up and occupying your day, your days and before you know it, your life.

If you are a domestic abuse survivor and you bump up against your own inner demons, stop and say NEXT. By merely noticing the demon for what it is and deciding to intentionally set it down, walk away, refuse to give it any more energy, it subsides…and ultimately can let go of you.
